Box office: 'Ruslaan' sees sharp revenue drop on first Monday
After a humble start, Aayush Sharma's latest film Ruslaan hit a rough patch on its first Monday at the box office. Despite an initial surge in audience turnout over the weekend, the action-packed movie saw a significant dip in collections, raking in just ₹40 lakh on Day 4. This downturn has cast a shadow of doubt over its performance for the rest of the week.
'Ruslaan' yet to collect ₹3 crore
With a lukewarm response, Ruslaan debuted with a box office collection of ₹55 lakh on Friday. Over the weekend, it saw an increase in revenue with ₹75 lakh and ₹85 lakh haul on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. However, according to Sacnilk, Ruslaan only collected around ₹40 lakh on Monday, marking its lowest single-day collection thus far. This brings Ruslaan's total estimated earnings to approximately ₹2.55 crore over four days.
'Ruslaan' recorded a poor audience turnout
On Monday, Ruslaan recorded a 6.05% Hindi occupancy rate, with the highest turnout observed during night shows at 6.88%. The film is showing promise in Chennai with a 15.67% occupancy. However, despite these pockets of success, it marks Sharma's lowest earnings compared to his previous outings. His silver screen debut in Loveyatri (2018) garnered ₹2cr on its opening day, followed by Antim: The Final Truth (2021), which debuted with ₹5.03cr.
