Dave Grohl debunks post claiming to show his love child
Dave Grohl, the frontman of Foo Fighters, has denied a viral post claiming to be a picture of his love child. The 55-year-old musician recently admitted that he fathered a daughter outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum. However, an Instagram post featuring a baby girl named Roxie Junie Grohl, purported to be Grohl's child, has been declared fake by the artist's representative.
Instagram post claimed to show Grohl's love child
The Instagram post, shared by user @valeriegreyston, showed a hand holding that of a newborn baby. The caption read: "My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life." The post went on to praise Grohl for his support during the pregnancy and expressed the user's joy at being a mother. Following the viral spread of this post, a representative for Grohl confirmed to TMZ that it was fake.
Grohl admitted to fathering child outside marriage
Grohl's denial of the viral post comes after he confessed on Tuesday to fathering a child outside his marriage. The former Nirvana drummer also revealed that he is seeking forgiveness from his wife, Blum. To note, the couple has been married since 2003 and shares three daughters: Violet (18), Harper (15), and Ophelia (10). This revelation has left many fans shocked and disappointed.
Grohl's past infidelity and divorce
This is not the first time Grohl has admitted to infidelity. He was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. The marriage ended in divorce after Grohl confessed to being unfaithful. Despite his past, the rock star is often described as a family man and has spoken fondly of his family in various interviews over the years.
