Actress Hema Malini's godown robbed; Rs. 90,000-worth items stolen
Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini's warehouse in Andheri West's DN Nagar in Mumbai has been robbed. The godown was used to store the actress's costumes, artificial jewelry, props, statues, and other items used in dance shows and shoots. Servant goes missing after theft at godown
Hema Malini said: "Right now I do not want to comment as it was done by our own staff. The items stolen were used in shoots and shows." The domestic help, responsible for cleaning the warehouse, has been missing from work since 5-6 days.
Suspect had been working for Hema Malini for many years
Hema Malini's manager lodged a complained at Juhu police station after he saw some items were missing from the warehouse. When he tried to contact the domestic help, his number went unreachable. A police officer said the manager later found some antique statues, imitation jewelry, clothes, stage show props were also missing. The servant had been working for the actress for a long time.

Police said the servant must have assumed imitation jewelry to be real and took away items worth Rs. 90,000. ACP Dattatray Bhargude said, "A theft case has been registered, and we are tracking down the accused." However, this is not the first time the actress's servant has stolen her belongings. In 2010, cash and jewelry worth Rs. 8L was stolen from her Goregaon bungalow.
