Amid cancer rumors, Rishi Kapoor shares health update from NY
It's been several months that Rishi Kapoor has been in New York for medical treatment. Although he never divulged in details about his treatment, there were reports that he is suffering from cancer. In fact, the Kapoor khandaan has also been keeping mum about his ailment. While his fans are concerned about his health, Rishi confirmed that he would return to India soon.
My treatment is a long procedure: Rishi
Talking about his treatment, Rishi stated that he is recuperating and would return to India soon. He also asserted that his medical treatment is a long procedure which needs immense patience. "My treatment is on, hopefully, I will recover soon. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtues," Rishi reportedly told Bollywood Hungama.
This break will be therapeutic: Rishi
Owing to his medical condition, Rishi has taken a break from acting. In fact, the veteran actor, who was last seen in 2018 release Mulk, is not thinking about movies as of now. "Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me," Rishi quipped.
Rishi took the medical break in August
In August, Rishi had revealed that he would fly to New York City for medical treatment. Rishi had urged his fans not to speculate about his health condition and assured to return soon. "I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate," Rishi had tweeted.
Separately, Neetu's cryptic message had sparked cancer rumors
To recall, Rishi's wife Neetu Singh had shared a rather cryptic post on New Year eve. She had shared a picture from her family's New Year celebrations and wished that "cancer is only a zodiac sign". Her words sent the social media into tizzy and it was speculated that Neetu was referring to Rishi's cancer battle in her post.
