Richa Chadha and Pratik Gandhi start work on 'Six Suspects'
Actors Richa Chadha and Pratik Gandhi have started work on the web series Six Suspects. The series directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia has been adapted from the murder-mystery novel by Vikas Swarup by the same name. The series reportedly went on floors at the end of February but the team kept the news under wraps. However, Chadha has now informed fans about the shoot.
'So thrilled to tick this one off my bucket list'
Chadha shared a glimpse of the set on Instagram and wished Dhulia a "happy storytellers day." She captioned her post, "So thrilled to tick this one off my bucket list. Collaborating with a director on my wish list... began my career with him (cuz he was acting in Gangs of Wasseypur). Happy Storytelling Day, Tigmanshu Dhulia." Both Dhulia and Chadha were co-stars in GOW.
'Six Suspects' is an intriguing murder mystery
The 2016 book's opening resembles the infamous Jessica Lal murder case. An influential man's son shoots a waitress dead after she refuses to serve him drinks. Things get murky when the accused himself is killed at the party he threw to celebrate his acquittal. Swarup is a renowned Indian diplomat and author. His first book QnA was adapted into the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire.
Chadha also has 'Fukrey 3' in the pipeline
Chadha was last seen in the box-office dud Madam Chief Minister, a political drama, directed by Subhash Kapoor. It also starred Manav Kaul. She will also start the filming for the third installment of the Fukrey franchise soon. The film also stars her boyfriend Ali Fazal along with Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma. Chadha's "Bholi Punjaban" character has been widely appreciated in Fukrey.
Gandhi became a household name with 'Scam 1992'
Gandhi, who is a famous Gujarati artist, became a household name with his portrayal of Harshad Mehta in SonyLiv's Scam 1992. The series directed by Hansal Mehta traced the life of Mehta who pulled of one the biggest scams in the stock market. Gandhi's acting chops were widely appreciated. He also won the prestigious Critics Choice Award for Best Actor in a Web Series.
