An actress working in Bollywood and the Indian television industry, Renuka Shahane, is best known for her work in the Doordarshan show 'Surabhi'. After completing her bachelor's in psychology from Mumbai, Shahane started her career in acting with a Marathi movie, 'Hach Sunbaicha Bhau', which was released in 1992. Soon after, she started hosting the Hindi language show 'Surabhi' on Doordarshan and gained immense popularity. In 1994, Shahane got the opportunity to work in one of the highest-grossing films of Hindi cinema, 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!'. Later, after being cast in numerous Marathi films, Shahane made her directorial debut with the Marathi film 'Rita' in 2009. She cast herself in a key role alongside Pallavi Joshi, Jackie Shroff, and Mohan Agashe, among others. She also tried her luck in Telugu films with 'Money', which proved to be a huge success. Shahane's directorial debut in Bollywood came a little late in 2021 with the film 'Tribhanga'.
