Box office collection: 'Rathnam' sees slight dip on Day 4
The Tamil film Rathnam, featuring a star-studded cast of Vishal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Ramachandra Raju, was released globally last Friday (April 26). However, on its fourth day (first Monday), Rathnam saw a slight decrease in box office collection, earning ₹1.5 crore.
'Rathnam' records varied occupancy rates on first Monday
On Monday, the fourth day of its release, Rathnam recorded an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 12.17%. The morning shows saw an attendance rate of 10.79%, which increased to 13.49% for the afternoon shows. The evening shows had an occupancy rate of 11.75%, while the night shows concluded with a slightly higher rate of 12.64%. These figures reflect the fluctuating audience interest in the film throughout the day.
'Rathnam': A tale of courage and protection
Rathnam tells the story of a brave young man living near the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border who embarks on a mission to protect Janani, his lady love who is being pursued by gangsters. The protagonist, Rathnam, serves as a henchman for MLA Panneer Selvam and also takes on the responsibility of safeguarding Mallika, an aspiring medical student who bears a striking resemblance to his late mother. This plotpoint adds an intriguing layer of complexity to the film.
