Bhatt family manipulated Ranvir Shorey, even assaulted him, he claims
Bollywood actor and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Ranvir Shorey has accused filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt's brother of manipulation and physical assault, respectively. In a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Shorey claimed that Mahesh spread false stories about him being "abusive" and "alcoholic." The actor also alleged that he was physically assaulted by Pooja's brother during a conflict.
Shorey felt manipulated by Mahesh during a conflict with Pooja
Shorey, who recently finished as the second runner-up in BB OTT 3, spoke about his past relationship with Pooja. He claimed that during a conflict with her, he felt manipulated by Mahesh. "At the time we had a conflict, I felt that the respect I had for him, he used that manipulatively," Shorey said. "When the fight happened, he told my father, 'Ok, we will rest the matter here, whatever the fight happened between the kids.'"
'All lies!': Shorey accused Mahesh of spreading false stories
Despite Mahesh assuring Shorey's father that they would resolve the issue, the filmmaker did something surprising. Shorey claimed, "next day, he proceeded to print utter lies about me, planted false stories in the media against me, painting me as an alcoholic abusive person. All lies!" He further added, "Her [Pooja] brother was the one, who assaulted me. He (Mahesh) could've told these guys not to talk like that...These are all 25-year-old stories."
Shorey's acting career and upcoming projects
Shorey made his acting debut with Shashilal Nair's Ek Choti Si Love Story and has since appeared in numerous Hindi films such as Khosla Ka Ghosla, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Bheja Fry, and Sonchiriya. His last popular theatrical release was the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3. The actor's next project is the crime-thriller series Shekhar Home, inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. The show will be available on JioCinema from Wednesday.
