Ranveer Singh-Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Simmba' shoot delayed
The shooting of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Simmba' has been postponed, a rarity for a Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty films. A remake of the Telugu film 'Temper' (2015), 'Simmba' was scheduled to go on floors this month but will now roll in June. The reason for the delay is being attributed to Ranveer's shoulder injury.
Will the release date also take a hit?
The maiden collaboration between Ranveer and Rohit is slated to hit the screens on the last Friday of 2018 - December 28. And as the 'Golmaal' series director is known to wrap up his films in quick time, 'Simmba' will most probably arrive on its original release date.
Ranveer is all pumped up about the project
While interacting with the media a few days back, Ranveer said, "Simmba is my first collaboration with Rohit Shetty which I know people are really excited about and me more than anyone to be diving into the masala genre with king of the genre." "It is an incredible opportunity that I am extremely excited to be commencing," he added.
'Simmba' will mark Sara's debut in Bollywood
Daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara was earlier supposed to make her Bollywood debut with 'Kedarnath'. However, the film got stuck pertaining to differences between the makers. It was then that Karan came to Sara's rescue and signed her for 'Simmba'.
