Ever since Kabir Khan announced '83 with Ranveer Singh, cine buffs and cricket lovers are finding it difficult to keep calm. The movie will chronicle the Indian cricket team's historic 1983 World Cup win. Bollywood's livewire Ranveer will be essaying the role of cricketer Kapil Dev and has begun the preparations. In fact, the actor is getting trained by the legend himself.

Ranveer, who is currently in Dharamshala with the '83 team, shared pictures of himself with Kapil. In the pictures, the Padmaavat actor was seen having a deep conversation with Kapil and getting some serious instructions from him on the cricket ground. Interestingly, both Kapil and Ranveer are seen wearing an Indian jersey. Ranveer's caption read: "Becoming the Hurricane #KapilDev #legend #journeybegins @83thefilm @kabirkhankk."

Notably, Ranveer is thrilled to be a part of '83 and is leaving no stone unturned to give his best to the role. He had earlier said that it's a very big deal for him to get into Kapil's shoes. "He is a legend in the truest sense. He commands such respect in the cricket fraternity and has a vast fan following," Ranveer said.

Ranveer further stated that '83 is a story that needs to be told to generations. Besides, he always wanted to be a part of a movie that instills the feeling of national pride. Meanwhile, '83 to be Ranveer's first tri-lingual movie

The movie will be released in three languages: Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. "Considering that cricket and movies are akin to religion in India, producers have decided to shoot for Tamil and Telugu versions simultaneously," a source said.
