Ranveer buys bat signed by legendary cricketers for Rs. 1.75L
Ranveer Singh is currently dipped in the fever of cricket as he is gearing up for his upcoming movie '83. The actor is going into overdrive in his training sessions, and has been sharing pictures on Instagram with iconic cricketers. And recently, the livewire of Bollywood bought a cricket bat signed by iconic cricketers for Rs. 1.75 lakh. That is huge!
Ranveer's bid was the highest among all
Reportedly, the highly desirable bat signed by legends Wasim Akram, Sachin Tendulkar, and Sir Vivian Richards, was available for bidding. Ranveer made the highest bid of of £2000 (Rs. 1.75 lakh) and took the bat home. Looks like, his craze for cricket has spilled out of the brim and he could not resist purchasing the bat.
Meanwhile, the cast of '83 has started shooting in London
The movie chronicles Indian cricket team's first World Cup win in 1983. Apart from Ranveer, the Kabir Khan directorial also stars Harrdy Sandhu, Saqib Saleem, R Badree, Chirag Patil, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sahil Khattar. Currently, the entire cast of the movie is shooting in London. Once, Ranveer said he feels honored to be practising on the ground of Lords.
Working for '83 is a dream come true: Ranveer
Talking to India Today, Ranveer expressed his excitement on essaying the role of Kapil Dev in the movie. "We are sitting in Lords with the best in the world of cricket during ICC World Cup. I am doing a film on '83 win and playing the role of Kapil Dev. My day started with Sunil Gavaskar and I met Shane Warne," he said.
