Rani is ready for another battle, YRF's tweet confirms
This time, Rani to fight a 21-year-old 'very clever villain'
According to media reports, just like the first installment, Rani aka Shivani Shivaji Roy will be seen fighting a vicious battle this time as well. And, it will be against a 21-year-old, who knows no mercy or empathy and is extremely clever. "There is going to be a smart cat-and-mouse game with a very clever villain," a source stated. Sounds exciting, isn't it?
'Mardaani is, will always remain very close to my heart'
To recall, Rani sung praises for Mardaani wherein she was seen fighting the kingpin of a child trafficking racket. The actress stated, "Mardaani is and will always remain very close to my heart." And, now she can't stop gushing about the sequel. "Gopi (Puthran) has written an extraordinary script that we all love and I cannot wait to start shooting it," Rani added.
'Mardaani 2' to be writer Gopi Puthran's directorial debut
Interestingly, unlike Mardaani, which was helmed by Pradeep Sarkar, the sequel will be made by a new director. The movie will mark the directorial debut of writer Gopi Puthran. Notably, Gopi had penned the script of the first installment. He will reportedly be assisted by veteran actor Chunky Pandey's nephew Ahaan Pandey, who is also taking his first step in the showbiz industry.
