"With Sridevi, I've lost a guiding light in my life"
Not being able to assimilate Sridevi's sudden death, Rani Mukerji said that the loss is as painful as her father's death. Rani referred to the late Bollywood legend as her 'Maasi' and expressed her grief over the untimely demise of India's first female superstar. Sridevi, 54, passed away on February 24, after she accidentally drowned in her hotel bathtub following a loss of consciousness.

"For me it's the most painful thing I have dealt with after my dad's passing away. The love she had for me was so tremendous that I feel somewhere I have lost a guiding light in my life. She was my inspiration," Rani said.
Sridevi's funeral to be held today
After a prolonged procedure in Dubai, Sridevi's mortal remains were finally brought to Mumbai last night. Her last rites are scheduled to be performed today in the afternoon. The news of Sridevi's death broke out in the wee hours of 25 February and left the entire nation reeling in shock. Initially, the reason for her demise was reported to be a massive cardiac arrest.
