Emotional Rani remembers Sridevi, says 'she was my inspiration'
Sridevi was a legendary actress and her untimely death left millions devastated. One such person who was deeply affected by Sridevi's demise is Rani Mukerji. She shared a great camaraderie with the late actress and called Sridevi her inspiration for entering showbiz. During her recent interview with Anupama Chopra, she got emotional about Sridevi and said she deeply missed her.
Rani loved watching Sridevi's movies
Rani said that she had grown up watching Sridevi's movies and she used to love her on-screen charisma. "I grew up, became an actor to the time that she loved my work, so it was really like that kind of connection and I deeply miss her right now. I absolutely used to love watching Sridevi's films she made everything look so effortless," Rani added.
Rani shares her fondest memory with Sridevi
The 'Mardaani' actress added, "I remember telling my mom that I wanted to go and watch her and I remember going in my school uniform and just watching her. When she used to descend from her make-up van, she used to be like a queen."
Sridevi's illustrious career is an inspiration
In her career of over four decades, Sridevi worked in around 300 movies and left the audience spell-bounded with her skills. She was last seen on the big screen in Ravi Udyawar directorial 'Mom' in 2017 for which she was awarded her first ever National Award (posthumously). Sridevi passed away in February this year due to accidental drowning in the bathtub.
