Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has joined the cast of Sunny Deol's upcoming action film, tentatively titled SDGM. The announcement coincided with Hooda's 48th birthday on Tuesday.
The movie, which is also being referred to as Jatt, is being directed by Gopichand Malineni.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with People Media Factory, the film features Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra in pivotal roles.

Hooda expressed excitement about joining 'SDGM'
Hooda took to social media to share his enthusiasm about joining the cast of SDGM.
He wrote, "Excited to be a part of this action feast - #SDGM Cannot wait to get on sets with @iamsunnydeol Paaji and the entire team. As promised, this will be a MASS FEAST, (sic)."
To note, this upcoming venture marks Telugu director Malineni's Bollywood directorial debut.

Deol's character in 'SDGM' embodies the spirit of a Jatt
In SDGM, Deol will reportedly play a character that encapsulates the spirit of a "Jatt," a term associated with strength, bravery, and resilience.
The title Jatt was specifically chosen to mirror Deol's powerful on-screen persona.
The film is set to undergo an extensive shooting schedule, with plans to complete filming by early September.
The film's score will be composed by S Thaman. Punjabi's visual storytelling skills will be a significant asset to this action-packed drama.

Deol has several exciting projects in the pipeline
Apart from SDGM, Deol has several interesting projects lined up. He is currently working on Lahore 1947, a film produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie also stars Preity Zinta and Deol's son, Karan Deol.
Furthermore, Deol recently announced Border 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the hit drama Border, helmed by JP Dutta.
Deol is also preparing for his role as Hanuman in the highly-anticipated Ramayana.
