Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's wedding: Everything to know about the event
It's been four years Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are dating. And, ever since the start of their relationship, rumors have been rife about their impending wedding. Recent reports suggest that the couple is set to get married this month itself. Bhatt and Kapoor will reportedly tie the knot on April 14 in a close-knit ceremony. Here are all the details about the event.
Kapoor to host his bachelor's party shortly
Reports reveal that Kapoor will be hosting his bachelor's party shortly, and the guest list will comprise his close friends from Bollywood. "Ranbir is extremely close to Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ayan Mukerji. The actor is planning a bachelor's party at his place. It will be attended by his close buddies from the world of showbiz and his childhood friends," sources added.
Where is the wedding slated to take place?
Unlike their colleagues, Bhatt and Kapoor will not go for a destination wedding. The couple has instead opted to get married at Kapoor's ancestral home, RK House in Chembur. A report by Pinkvilla stated that this location was finalized because Kapoor was close to his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor, who passed away on October 1, 2018, and used to reside in the house.
What about the wedding attires?
Notably, the wedding buzz gained momentum when Kapoor's mother Neetu Singh was spotted at celebrity designer Manish Malhotra's store. Malhotra visiting the Kapoors further added fuel to the rumors. So, it seems Malhotra and Bollywood's bridalwear mogul Sabyasachi Mukherjee will be designing the couple's wedding ensembles. Apparently, Bhatt approached Mukherjee in 2019 and said she wanted her lehenga to be "traditional and appropriately fashion-forward."
Is this why the couple is rushing with wedding plans?
Reports say that the wedding has been advanced as Bhatt's maternal grandfather N Razdan is in a "fragile physical condition" and wishes to witness the nuptials. "Alia's maternal grandfather N Razdan is in fragile physical condition and he expressed his desire to see Alia get married to Ranbir. Mr Razdan has also grown quite fond of Ranbir and loves him a lot," sources said.
But, no confirmation on wedding yet
Interestingly, the Bollywood power couple or anyone related to them has not confirmed these details, but we do wish Bhatt-Kapoor get married soon as is being speculated. On the work front, Bhatt was last seen in a cameo in RRR and is awaiting the release of Brahmastra, co-starring Kapoor. It is this film that brought them together, so it's a special venture for both.
