Rana Daggubati excited to replace Nana Patekar in 'Housefull 4'
Nana Patekar's exit from 'Housefull 4' last month created a buzz in the B-town. His decision came after he was accused of sexual harassment by Tanushree Dutta. Post his exit, there have been many speculations about his replacement in the multi-starrer movie. While several names were doing the rounds, it is now confirmed that Rana Daggubati has been roped in as Nana's replacement.
Rana looking forward to work with Akshay again
Confirming the news, Rana stated that he is happy to come on board. He also mentioned that the movie will give him an opportunity to work with Akshay Kumar once again after the 2015 release 'Baby'. "Working with Akshay Kumar again, Sajid Nadiadwala and Farhad Samji is something I am really looking forward to," Rana added.
Rana wants to try hands at comedy
Rana also revealed that one of the major reasons for giving his nod to 'Housefull 4' was its genre. We have seen Rana in several serious and romantic roles including Bhallaladeva in 'Baahubali' series. However, he is yet to try his hands at comedy. "I've never been part of a genre like Housefull and it's always exciting to work with different genres," he quipped.
Rana to begin shooting this week
Reportedly, Rana will begin shooting for 'Housefull 4' this week and will essay the role of a ghazal singer in the movie. The movie will now be shot in Mumbai. As per a report published in Mumbai Mirror, "The parts that Nana had shot for in Jaisalmer will now be filmed in the Maximum City". Bhallaladeva as ghazal singer sounds interesting. Doesn't it?
