Kannada film '777 Charlie' to premiere in Japan in June
Rakshit Shetty and his beloved on-screen companion, labrador Charlie, are all set to captivate audiences once more—this time on the international stage. The popular Kannada adventure drama 777 Charlie—released in 2022—is scheduled for its Japanese premiere on June 28. This marks the film's first screening in Japan. Directed by Kiranraj K, the movie has already garnered widespread acclaim across India for its touching narrative of friendship.
Why does this story matter?
777 Charlie was recognized as the Best Feature Film In Kannada at the 69th National Film Awards and was the fifth highest-grossing Kannada film of 2022. This Japanese release marks a significant milestone for Kannada cinema following the successful reception of Prashanth Neel's KGF franchise and Rishab Shetty's Kantara in Japan. There are high expectations that Shetty's film could replicate this success in Japan.
