Rakhi Sawant on Tanushree Dutta's defamation case: 'She wants publicity'

The ongoing #MeToo movement has sparked a war of words between Tanushree Dutta and Rakhi Sawant.
The fight took a legal turn after Tanushree recently filed Rs. 10 crore defamation case against Rakhi.
However, Rakhi is unfazed by the case and said, "Tanushree wants publicity in my name".
She also said that she will soon file Rs. 50 crore defamation case against Tanushree.

Tanushree accused Rakhi of tarnishing her image
Notably, last month, Tanushree had accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of 'Horn OK Pleasss' in 2008.
While her allegations created a stir in the industry, Rakhi vehemently rubbished her claims.
Rakhi called Tanushree's allegations a mere publicity gimmick.
This is not all. Rakhi even called Tanushree a drug addict and claimed that she doped on sets.

Rakhi went on to slam Tanushree for making false allegations against Nana Patekar and Raj Thackeray.
She said that Tanushree tried her best to rob them with her publicity stunt, which she believes is for her Bollywood comeback.
Rakhi also mentioned now thatTanushree had taken the legal route, she would also give her a befitting reply in court with all the proofs.

'Tanushree had doped in front of me', claims Rakhi
Interestingly, Rakhi, who earlier called Tanushree a 'drug addict', continues to stand by her statement.
She claimed that Tanushree had taken her to three rave parties 10 years ago.
"And in those parties in front of me, she had doped and she offered it to me too, and because of her even I had taken it (drugs)," Rakhi said in an interview.

Rakhi to file Rs. 50 crore defamation case against Tanushree
Furthermore, Rakhi added that she is planning to file Rs. 50 crore defamation case against Tanushree for allegedly calling her a 'lower class girl'.
She also claimed that not just her but Raj Thackeray, Ganesh Acharya and Nana Patekar might also slap defamation suits against Tanushree for calling them 'neech' on national television.
"'Neech' bolna kitna bada gunaah ha," Rakhi exclaimed.

Expressing her views on #MeToo, Rakhi said that the original purpose of the movement isn't being fulfilled.
She said that #MeToo is losing its direction as several women are misusing it for their personal vendetta.
"I feel bad for those women who have actually suffered sexual harassment and they won't be heard out because of the girls who are lying," Rakhi concluded.
