Rajpal Yadav, wife convicted in Rs. 5 crore loan case

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav and his wife Radha have been held guilty by Delhi's Karkardooma court for failing to repay a loan amount of Rs. 5 crore.
The sentence will be announced on April 23.
Also, a contempt of court notice is issued against two women lawyers (representing the couple) and an oath commissioner for submitting an affidavit with their forged signatures.

Details
The case dates back to 2010
It was in 2010 that Yadav and his wife had taken a loan from a Delhi-based businessman MG Agarwal. They needed the money for Yadav's maiden directorial venture called 'Ata Pata Laapata'.
However, when they failed to repay a loan amount of Rs. 5 crore, Agarwal filed a complaint against them.
Background
Yadav was remanded to judicial custody in 2013
Yadav was remanded to 10 days judicial custody in 2013 for concealing facts about the case.
The court had also ordered attachments of his assets, his bank account and a company he owned.
However, the actor in 2015 claimed that he had repaid Rs. 1.58 crore and the remaining Rs. 3.42 crore would be paid back in the next 30 days.
