The magnificent run makes 'Stree' a hit at box office
'Stree' emerged as a dark horse
'Stree' had witnessed a box office clash with Dharmendra-starrer 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 3' and the former emerged to be the frontrunner. YPD3 came after the first two successful instalments of the franchise. But contrary to assumptions, 'Stree' emerged as a dark horse and collapsed YPD3's earnings. In fact, even new releases weren't able to challenge its reign at the box office.
'Stree' becomes ninth movie to cross Rs. 100cr in 2018
It is certainly a glorious moment for 'Stree' team as the movie has become the ninth film to enter the coveted Rs. 100 crore club this year. Earlier, movies like 'Padmaavat', 'Raazi', 'Gold', 'Sanju', 'Race 3' etc. graced the club in 2018.
