OTT: When, where to watch Rajkummar-Shraddha's 'Stree 2'
Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank was released on Thursday, and defied all expectations by making a stellar debut. The horror-comedy stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, with Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana in supporting roles. Now, according to reports, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the streaming rights for Stree 2.
'Stree 2' OTT release: When and where to watch
Stree 2 is expected to be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video by late September or early October, following the usual pattern of recent Bollywood releases. However, the exact date is yet to be officially announced. Since Stree 2 is being loved by the audience, it is likely to stay in the theaters for a long time. Amar Kaushik has helmed the movie.
'Stree 2' plot: A thrilling mix of horror and comedy
Stree 2 picks up from where the first film left off, with the town of Chanderi now haunted by a headless entity called Sarkata. The entity is abducting women, causing fear among the townsfolk. The plot takes a personal turn when Bittu (Khurana) discovers that his girlfriend, Chitti, is one of Sarkata's victims. This prompts Vicky (Rao), Bittu, and Jana (Banerjee) to join forces with Rudra (Tripathi), and Kapoor's unnamed character to defeat Sarkata.
