Rajkummar Rao charges a huge amount for 'Chupke Chupke' remake
After delivering hits like Stree and Judgementall Hai Kya, Rajkummar Rao has certainly proved himself as a bankable actor. And looks like he's planning to encash on his success now. Reportedly, Rajkummar, who has been roped in for the remake of cult classic Chupke Chupke, has charged a whopping amount of Rs. 9 crore for the movie. It will be helmed by Luv Ranjan.
Rajkummar to essay the role of Dharmendra in the remake
According to a Pinkvilla report, Rajkummar has been looped in to play the role of Dharmendra in the remake. The report further states that the remake will broadly have the same storyline as the original, but with minor tweaks. "The whole essence and storyline will remain almost the same, with a few additions in terms of the style," a source stated.

The report further suggested that the Newton actor has been confirmed for the lead role, and he is getting the highest amount he ever got in his career. "Rajkummar has been paid to the tune of Rs. 9 crore for Chupke Chupke, which is also by far the highest he has received so far. But he totally deserves it," the source was quoted saying.
Makers yet to finalize the remaining cast of the movie
Meanwhile, the makers are still on a hunt to finalize the remaining cast of the movie. In fact, they have reportedly initiated talks with some of the A-listers for the same. However, nothing has been finalized so far.
For now, Rajkummar is working on 'RoohiAfza' opposite Janhvi
As of now, Rajkummar has several big projects in the pipeline for the next year. The superstar is currently working on RoohiAfza opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Rajkummar will also be collaborating with director Hansal Mehta for his upcoming directorial Turram Khan opposite Nushrat Bharucha. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Dinesh Vijan's comedy-drama Made In China.
