Rajkummar Rao talks about being replaced by someone
Rajkummar Rao, who was last seen in 'Stree', is touted be one of the best actors in the industry. Amidst the nepotism debate prevailing in the industry, he has carved a niche for himself in B-town without any godfather. But this wasn't a cake walk for him, and he had his share of struggle including being replaced by someone in a movie.
Rajkummar's revelation about his struggle days
Rajkummar has proved his acting prowess time and again since his debut in 2010. He has given remarkable performances in movies like 'Shahid', 'Omerta', 'Newton', etc. But before he made big in the industry, he was replaced in a project. Talking about the same, he said, "I don't know star kid or not, but once it has happened that I was replaced by someone".
Was it disappointing for him?
Indeed, this would have been quite disappointing for anyone, but with Rajkummar there isn't anything called 'giving up'. He asserted that he didn't take it personally and chose to wait for his time. "I thought something better is waiting for me ahead. I am quite an optimist that way. I think very positive about life and everything," Rajkummar told Pinkvilla.
Rajkummar's success in Bollywood
Rajkummar stepped in Bollywood with 2010 release 'Love Sex Aur Dhoka', but he got his big break with 2013 release 'Shahid' for which he even won a National Award. Since then, he has done several challenging, unconventional roles in his distinctive way and won millions of hearts. In fact, his last release 'Stree', opposite Shraddha Kapoor, is also doing wonders at the box office.
Rajkummar's reaction on 'Stree' success
As 'Stree' is going strong at the box office, Rajkummar is overwhelmed with the response it is getting. "I expected to be a part of the good film. I was very sure that we are making a good film. I knew that people would like it but the way people are reacting, it's huge, it is overwhelming," he was quoted saying to Pinkvilla.
