Rajkummar Rao thinks his 'RoohiAfza' co-star Janhvi is "phenomenal"
Rajkummar Rao has begun shooting for his upcoming movie RoohiAfza with Janhvi Kapoor, and he is all praises for the young actress. The Bareilly Ki Barfi actor, who himself is a powerhouse of talent, thinks "Janhvi is phenomenal." "I think what we have seen of her in Dhadak is just a hint of her talent, she is way more talented than that," he added.

Notably, this is the first time Rajkummar is sharing screen space with Janhvi, who made her debut with 2018 release Dhadak. Sharing his experience with the actress, Rajkummar said, "Janhvi is phenomenal. She is such a sincere and hardworking actor. I think what we have seen of her in Dhadak is just a hint of her talent, she is way more talented than that."
"Will not talk much about 'RoohiAfza,' it'll catch evil's eye"
Janhvi, meanwhile, is also excited to be a part of RoohiAfza and feels "fortunate to be working with people who are involved in it". The 22-year-old, however, refrained from talking about the film more than what is necessary. "Whether you call me superstitious or old-fashioned, I feel if you talk more about your film, it will catch the evil's eye," she reasoned.
Janhvi to portray two contrasting personalities in 'RoohiAfza'
RoohiAfza is said to be a horror comedy and will feature Janhvi in a double role. Talking about why Janhvi was chosen, producer Dinesh Vijan stated, "For the female lead, we needed someone who could portray two contrasting personalities with ease and Janhvi stood out. She really connected with the script. Her talent is still raw, but she is excited about being moulded".
Currently, Janhvi is also shooting for Gunjan Saxena biopic
Helmed by Hardik Mehta, RoohiAfza is slated to hit the screens on March 20 next year. For now, Janhvi is working on the Gunjan Saxena biopic, tentatively titled Kargil Girl. Besides, she is also a part of Karan Johar's upcoming multi-starrer period drama Takht.
