Gnanavel has previously directed the critically acclaimed film Jai Bhim, released in 2021, which starred Suriya, Manikandan, and Lijomol Jose. The film will be produced under the Sun Pictures banner and will feature music by Ravichander.
'Vettaiyan' is a well-researched story, claimed Daggubati
While the makers have remained tight-lipped about the film's plot, Rajinikanth's co-star in the film, Daggubati revealed in an interview that Vettaiyan is a story between the judiciary, police, and entrepreneurial system. He described it as a well-researched story and not a regular Rajinikanth film. "I am very happy he chose a film like that and I could be part of it," Daggubati said.
