Soundarya, confirming the wedding reports, revealed on social media that she is getting married on February 11. According to media reports, their wedding will be a grand event, which will take place in Chennai. In fact, the preparations for her big day have already begun.

While the wedding will be held on February 11, its festivities would begin from February 9 with a small puja at Rajinikanth's Poes Garden residence. It will be followed by sangeet, mehendi and haldi ceremonies. The rituals will take place in a plush hotel in Chennai's MRC Nagar. Also, Tamil Nadu police department will provide security, as was requested by Rajinikanth's wife Lata.
Contrary to rumors, Soundarya-Vishagan's alliance was fixed by families
There were speculations for a while suggesting that Soundarya was dating Vishagan. However, a source close to the family revealed that this alliance was fixed by their families. "Soundarya and Vishagan haven't known each other before and it was the groom's aunt who initiated the alliance. And when Rajini's family gave the green signal, Soundarya met Vishagan at a coffee shop," the source added.
This will be second marriage for both Soundarya and Vishagan
Notably, this will be Soundarya's second marriage. She was earlier married to Ashwin Ramkumar from 2010 to 2017. Ashwin and Soundarya had mutually filed for divorce in 2016 due to irreconcilable differences. The couple also has a three-year-old son Ved. On the other hand, Vishagan also divorced his wife a few years ago. He was married to magazine editor Kanikha Kumaran.
