Rajinikanth may replace Kamal Haasan in Atlee's actioner with Salman
Director Atlee's upcoming mega-action film, which was initially reported to have Kamal Haasan and Salman Khan locking horns, has been creating quite a buzz since day one. But guess what? There might be a change in the cast! Rumor has it that superstar Rajinikanth could step in for Haasan in this highly anticipated project. However, despite all the chatter online, there's been no official word from the film's team or the actors just yet.
Atlee's project is likely to kick off in January 2025
The buzz about Atlee teaming up with Khan and Haasan for a big action flick first popped up in July. Sun Pictures is all set to back the movie, which is expected to be a pan-Indian spectacle. By September 2024, reports suggested that the project was finally on track and shooting would kick off in January 2025, with pre-production work starting by October 2024.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth and Khan are busy with other projects
Currently, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Vettaiyan, which marks his return to the cop world. The movie is a multi-starrer and includes actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, and Rana Daggubati among others. On the other hand, Khan has movies like Sikandar and Tiger v/s Pathaan on his plate at the moment. It remains to be seen how these commitments will affect their potential involvement in Atlee's project.
