Rajinikanth discharged from hospital after heart procedure
Veteran actor Rajinikanth, who was hospitalized on September 30 for a cardiac procedure, has been discharged and is now recuperating at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai. The 73-year-old actor underwent treatment for swelling in the aorta, the main blood vessel leaving his heart. This condition was addressed using a non-surgical transcatheter method, during which a stent was placed in the aorta to alleviate the swelling. He was reportedly discharged on Thursday at 11:00pm.
Rajinikanth's procedure was preplanned, not an emergency
Contrary to initial reports, Rajinikanth's hospitalization was not due to sudden discomfort but was a preplanned procedure following thorough consultation with his doctors. After completing his shooting schedule for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie in Vizag, the actor visited Apollo Hospital in Chennai for the medical process. The team that performed the procedure included Dr. Sai Sathish, Dr. Vijay Chandar, and Dr. Balaji from Apollo Hospital.
