'Thalaivar169': Rajinikanth's next to be helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has signed his next film. Tentatively titled Thalaivar169, this venture will see him collaborating with director Nelson Dilipkumar for the first time. Noted music composer Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in for the music score, marking his third film with his relative, Rajinikanth, after Petta and Darbar. The announcement of the project was recently made on social media.

Film be rolled out in December?
As the temporary title suggests, this film marks the 169th outing of Rajinikanth. As per reports, it may go on floors in December this year. But there could be changes to the schedule due to the pandemic. Official updates regarding the other actors and more are expected to be made soon. Rajinikanth was last seen in the Siruthai Siva-helmed rural family drama Annaatthe.
Dilipkumar's next is 'Beast' starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde
Meanwhile, Dilipkumar, known for the quirky dark humor in his films, is currently awaiting the release of the highly-anticipated Kollywood film Beast, starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde. Also bankrolled by Sun Pictures, it is touted to be an action-packed entertainer. Presently, the film is in the post-production stage and it is expected to release sometime in April. Ravichander has composed music for Beast, too.
