Milky-woes: Court orders Rajini's fans to show restraint
Superstar Rajinikanth has been recently honored with the Padma Vibhushan and he would receive the award at a ceremony in April. The Bengaluru civil court passed an injunction restraining his fans and issued a notice to Rajinikanth seeking his response on the milk wastage. The suit was filed on 26 March 2016, and the next hearing would be held on 11 April 2016.
Who is Rajinikanth?
Rajinikanth, born on 12 December 1950, is an Indian movie actor who is primarily based in the Tamil Cinema industry. Apart from Tamil, Rajinikanth had also acted in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Hollywood movies as well. In 2000, Rajinikanth was honored with Padma Bhushan and was awarded the 'Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of 2014' at the 45th IFFI Awards.

On 28 March 2016, the Padma Award ceremony was held where 112 personalities were honored. Rajinikanth was conferred with the second highest Indian civilian award, 'Padma Vibhushan', which he would receive at a function to be held in April 2016.
Social activist files petition against Rajini fans
Dr. IMS Manivannan, a social activist, filed a petition in Bengaluru civil court against Rajini-fans for 'wasting' thousands of liters of milk, while thousands were dying of malnutrition. The petitioner had requested the court to give orders to Rajinikanth and his fans to stop wastage. Manivannan stated that Rajinikanth is a responsible actor, and he should take the responsibility to end the illogical practice.
Not the first time Rajini's missing milk bath
In 2014, in the movie 'Kochadaiiyaan', Rajinikanth failed to impress his Mumbai fans as they had wanted to see him in the film and not an animated character. So, his Mumbai fans had decided not to celebrate the movie's release.
