Rajamouli's 'friend' accuses him of 'ruining career' in suicide note
What's the story
In a shocking turn of events, Srinivasa Rao, who claimed to be a close friend of renowned director SS Rajamouli, has accused him of mental harassment and career sabotage.
The allegations were made in a video and an alleged suicide note which he sent to Mettu Police Station.
He reportedly blamed Rajamouli for his struggles, stating, "I have no option but to die by suicide. Rajamouli is the reason I am still single at 55."
Love triangle
Rao claimed Rajamouli ruined his career over a woman
Rao, 55, alleged that Rajamouli sabotaged his career over a love triangle. He claimed that both he and Rajamouli were in love with the same woman. However, he stepped back for the sake of their friendship.
After Rajamouli gained prominence in the industry, he accused the world-renowned director of doubting his loyalty and harassing him.
"We worked together until Yamadonga (2007), but he ruined my career for a woman," Rao wrote in his note.
Unproven claims
Rao accused Rajamouli of black magic, suppressing rivals
Apart from the mental harassment allegations, Rao also accused Rajamouli of practicing black magic and suppressing rival filmmakers.
He alleged that the Baahubali director used unfair means to keep his dominance in the industry.
However, he didn't provide any evidence to back these accusations.
"I am 55 now. I am unable to bear this harassment anymore," he said in his video message.
Final plea
Rao urged for lie detector test on Rajamouli
Further, Rao said Rajamouli was under the influence of the woman in question and refused to understand his pain.
He urged the police to conduct a lie detector test on Rajamouli to substantiate his allegations.
Insisting his statements weren't for publicity, Rao said he had reached a breaking point in his life.
Till now, Rajamouli hasn't responded to these shocking allegations.
