Sanjay Dutt-Abhishek Bachchan to play Mughals in 'Raja Shivaji': Report

Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan might team up for an upcoming movie, Raja Shivaji.
According to ETimes, they will reportedly play Mughal characters in the film, directed by fellow actor Riteish Deshmukh.
The movie is currently being shot in Mumbai and marks Deshmukh's second Marathi directorial, following the success of his debut venture, Ved.
Interestingly, Deshmukh himself will portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film.

'Raja Shivaji' to be a bilingual release
Raja Shivaji will be a bilingual release in Marathi and Hindi. Deshmukh announced the project on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti in 2024.
Sharing the film's poster on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not just a name but an emotion. On the auspicious occasion of his birth anniversary, I join you in paying homage to the great son of the soil. May his legacy continue to inspire us for generations to come."
