Ajay Devgn's 'Raid 2' now to release in February 2025
The much-awaited sequel to the 2018 film Raid, featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, has been postponed. The movie, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor, was initially slated for a November 2024 release. However, the makers have now confirmed a new release date in February 2025. The announcement poster for the film has also been unveiled by the makers, T-Series.

Raid 2 is now scheduled to be released on February 21, 2025. The announcement poster for the film was also shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on X/Twitter. In his post, Adarsh revealed that Devgn will reprise his role as IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in the sequel. He added that the film has been "extensively filmed across Delhi and Lucknow."

Director Rajkumar Gupta confirmed new release date earlier
In a recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama, filmmaker Rajkumar Gupta confirmed the change in Raid 2's release date. He said, "Raid 2 is happening early next year," adding that the exact date will be announced by the producers. Gupta also expressed his excitement about working with Deshmukh again after their recent collaboration on the latter's web-series debut Pill.
Gupta maintains secrecy about Deshmukh's character in 'Raid 2'
While Gupta confirmed that Deshmukh will be playing the antagonist in Raid 2, he refrained from revealing any further details about the character. "More conversation about Raid 2 will happen when the promotions begin, like what character he is playing," he said. He added that it has been a great experience working with Deshmukh in both Pill and Raid 2.
