Writer addressed 'Race 3' criticisms
Race 3, despite its box office success, faced criticism for deviating from the franchise's established narrative. Addressing these concerns, Ahmed explained that the film's storyline had to be adjusted to accommodate Salman Khan's image as a hero. He said, "In Race 3, we shifted a bit from the Race franchise in terms of characters... We had Salman Khan in the film. So, you need to keep certain things in mind. He doesn't play negative roles."
'Race 4' director yet to be confirmed
The first two films in the franchise were directed by Abbas-Mustan, while the third was helmed by Remo D'Souza. Earlier, reports indicated that Nikkhil Advani was enlisted to direct the film, however, the director for Race 4 is yet to be finalized. To recall, the first film featured Khan and Akshaye Khanna as rival brothers, with Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif playing femme fatales. The second installment also starred Khan but introduced a new villain played by John Abraham.
