Dhanush's latest Tamil film, Raayan, has remained sturdy at the box office since its release on July 26. The film, which is also Dhanush's 50th cinematic outing, not only stars him but is also directed and written by him. Its total collection now reportedly stands at ₹87.5 crore. The star-studded cast includes SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Dushara Vijayan, Prakash Raj, and Saravanan.
'Raayan's performance on Saturday
Raayan earned an estimated ₹60.10 crore net in India in its first week and despite fluctuations, has largely been stable. Then, on Saturday, it earned ₹2.15 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. The film's Tamil occupancy was recorded at 24.67% on Saturday, with morning shows at 17.03%, afternoon shows at 26.76%, evening shows at 23.91%, and night shows at 30.99%.

Raayan is Dhanush's second directorial venture. He dedicated nearly six months to perfecting this project with a significant focus on post-production. The film was produced with a total budget of ₹90 crore, which covered both production and marketing costs. The plot revolves around an innocent man who becomes deeply involved in the criminal underworld after his family is murdered.
