The highly anticipated biographical film on renowned scientist GD Naidu will feature acclaimed actor R Madhavan in the lead role.
Director Krishnakumar Ramakumar made the exciting announcement on Tuesday (February 18), unveiling the first-look poster. The film also stars Priya Mani, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu, with the music composed by Govind Vasantha.
Fans eagerly await this portrayal of an extraordinary scientific journey.
Filming locations
'GDN' to be shot in Naidu's birthplace for authenticity
The majority of GDN will be shot in Coimbatore, the birthplace of Naidu who is popularly known as the "Edison of India." This is being done to keep his story authentic.
Earlier, the executive producer Muralidharan Subramanian told IANS, "Almost 95% of the film will be shot in the same place as it happened and the remaining five percent will be shot abroad."
Naidu—the subject of the biopic—is famous for being the first to manufacture an electric motor in India.

Collaboration
'GDN' marks reunion of National Award-winning production houses
GDN is being produced by Varghese Moolans Pictures and Tricolour Films. This is their second collaboration after the National Award-winning film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in 2022, also starring Madhavan in the titular role.
The producers are Varghese Moolan, Vijay Moolan (Varghese Moolans Pictures), and Madhavan and Sarita Madhavan (Tricolour Films).
Aravind Kamalanathan is the cinematographer and creative producer of this project.
