Here's why R Madhavan backed out of Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba'

Ranveer Singh starrer 'Simmba' has been in the news for a while now.
The latest development about the film is that R Madhavan has opted out of the Rohit Shetty directorial.
For the uninitiated, Madhavan was offered to play the villain in the cop drama.
However, owing to his shoulder injury, he could not take up the role.

Details
'Simmba' is slated to release on December 28
'Simmba' is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
The film brings together the trio of Karan, Ranveer and Rohit for the first time.
Ranveer and Rohit have previously collaborated on an ad campaign.
The 'Padmaavat' star will be essaying the role of a notorious cop named Sangram Bhalerao in the film.
Sara Ali Khan is to star opposite Ranveer in the film.
