
'Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson files for divorce after 3-year marriage

Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson has filed for divorce from her husband, Kevin Jay Anik.
According to PEOPLE, the petition, which was filed on March 19, mentioned "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation.
Brunson and Anik, who got married in October 2021, have a "postnuptial agreement" regarding their property division.
Not much is known about Anik, but the pair reportedly got engaged in 2020.

In her divorce petition, the Emmy-winning actor had asked for each party to pay their own attorney's fees.
Despite her public recognition of their marriage in a couple of award show speeches, Brunson has mostly kept her relationship with Anik under wraps.
When she made her historic Emmy win in 2022 for outstanding writing for a comedy series, she mentioned Anik in her speech. "I have to thank my wonderful husband because he's the most supportive man," she said.

Following this, Brunson has publicly thanked Anik at the 2023 Golden Globes, too.
During her Golden Globes acceptance speech for the Best Musical or Comedy Actress award, the actress showered love on her husband and cast saying, "I love my husband. I'm so happy. I love my cast. Oh, I love Abbott Elementary. Thank you so much."
Currently, the 35-year-old is starring in the fourth season of Abbott Elementary.
