'Pushpa: The Rise' to re-release just weeks before its sequel
The Hindi version of the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, will be re-released in theaters on Friday (November 22). The announcement comes just weeks ahead of the release of its sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, which premieres on December 5. Goldmines Telefilms shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) along with a short video clip of Arjun as the iconic Pushpa Raj.
'Pushpa: The Rise' Hindi version's box office success
The original release of Pushpa: The Rise in 2021 was a pan-India blockbuster, grossing ₹136 crore in Telugu and another ₹106 crore net from its Hindi-dubbed version. The feat made it Arjun's highest-grossing film to date and further established his stardom in northern India. The film and its songs have only grown more popular in the Hindi-speaking belt—thanks to its OTT and TV release.
'Pushpa 2: The Rule' trailer launched amid high anticipation
The trailer for Pushpa 2: The Rule was unveiled at a grand event in Patna on November 17, attended by over two lakh people. It sees Arjun reprising his role as Pushpa Raj and Mandanna returning as Srivalli. The sequel, directed by Sukumar, also features Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist. Breaking records since its release, the trailer has generated immense buzz, cementing the film as one of the most awaited releases in recent memory.
