After 2 decades, Nagarjuna-Puri Jagannadh may reunite for new film
What's the story
Telugu cinema stalwart Nagarjuna Akkineni is said to be reuniting with director Puri Jagannadh for a new project, their first collaboration in almost two decades.
The duo last worked together on the 2005 film, Super.
Earlier, there were speculations of Jagannadh's possible collaboration with Nagarjuna's son, Akhil Akkineni.
However, recent reports suggest that the project was always meant for Nagarjuna.
Project discussions
Meetings between Nagarjuna and Jagannadh have been ongoing
Jagannadh has reportedly been in talks with Nagarjuna for this upcoming project for a while now.
However, an official word from either of the parties is still awaited.
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna has two highly-anticipated films in the pipeline: Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula, and Coolie, helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Apart from Super, Jagannadh had also worked with Naarjuna on Sivamani in 2003.
Reality show exit
Nagarjuna's recent departure from 'Bigg Boss Telugu 9'
Besides his film career, Nagarjuna also recently made headlines by stepping down as the host of Bigg Boss Telugu 9.
Reportedly, Vijay Deverakonda is being considered as his replacement, but these reports remain unconfirmed.
Meanwhile, Jagannadh has been facing a rough patch in his career, with his recent releases failing to perform well at the box office.
He has directed films like Liger, Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap, and Pokiri.
