Dhillon is famous for his hit songs like Boot Cut, Old Skool, and Majha Block.
Past attacks
Previous incidents of violence against Punjabi artists
Notably, this isn't the first time a Punjabi artist has been targeted in this way.
In September 2024, gunfire was reported near the home of Punjabi singer AP Dhillon on Victoria Island in Vancouver, Canada.
A man named Rohit Godara, associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, confessed to being involved in that incident.
In November 2023, the incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi himself claimed responsibility for an alleged shooting at Grewal's residence in Canada's White Rock area of Vancouver.
