Famous Punjabi singer Parmish Verma shot at in Mohali
In a shocking incident, popular Punjabi singer Parmish Verma was shot at by some unidentified persons on Friday night in Mohali. According to the police, he was immediately admitted to a hospital and is currently out of danger. Verma had shot to fame with his songs such as 'Gaal Nahin Kadhnai' and 'Shada'.
A case has been registered with the Police
Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said, "Some unidentified persons fired shots at Parmish last night at Sector 91 in Mohali when he was returning home. A bullet hit his leg."
A man named Dilpreet Singh Dhahan claimed responsibility
A man named Dilpreet Singh Dhahan claimed to have shot Parmish. He posted a status on Facebook which said, "I, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, want to tell everyone that I am behind the shooting of Parmish Verma." Notably, this is the first post from the account since December last year and has been shared 700 times.
Parmish has been roped for the Punjabi remake of 'Singham'
A few days back, Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to announce that his blockbuster film 'Singham' in being remade in Punjabi and that Parmish would be playing the titular role in it. Overwhelmed with the development, Parmish wrote, "It is an honor that I am getting to star in the Punjabi remake of Bollywood and south industry's blockbuster hit Singham."
