Bollywood producer Karim Morani's daughter tests positive for coronavirus
Bollywood producer Karim Morani's daughter Shaza has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), reports said on Monday. She is currently admitted at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Meanwhile, other members of the Morani family are currently in self-quarantine and will be tested for the virus on Monday. Reportedly, Shaza also traveled internationally last month. Here are more details.
Shaza traveled back from Sri Lanka in early March
According to a report in The New Indian Express, Shaza had traveled back from Sri Lanka in the first week of March. For the unversed, Shaza's father Karim has produced several movies including Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express, Ra.One, Dilwale, and Happy New Year, among others. However, he has been away from films for some time, after being embroiled in a number of scams.
Shaza lives in Juhu with her family
Shaza lives in Juhu with her parents and a sister, Zoa Morani, who is an actor. Notably, according to a report in India Today, Shaza's is the first confirmed coronavirus case in the posh area. The area is also home to other prominent Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Hrithik Roshan and Jeetendra, and several others.
COVID-19 has killed 100+ in India
This is the second such case where a person with close connections in the film fraternity has been diagnosed with the deadly virus. Earlier, Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who is friends with Shaza, had tested positive for COVID-19. She has now been discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic has infected over 4,000 people and killed more than 100 in India.

Meanwhile, Bollywood is doing its bit to fight the coronavirus pandemic in the country. Celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan have been spreading awareness about the disease on social media. Further, celebrities who have pledged donations for the cause include Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Kartik Aaryan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
