Coronavirus: SRK, Priyanka Chopra to be part of WHO's fundraiser
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas are all set to join the likes of international stars like Lady Gaga and Elton John for a one-of-its-kind virtual fundraiser event this month. The online event, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen, is aimed at benefiting the WHO's Solidarity Fund for fight against COVID-19. Here's more on this.
Billie Eilish, John Legend to also feature in the event
The event titled One World: Together At Home will live stream the performances from noted stars from across the globe. The star-studded line-up comprises Gaga, Elton, Grammy award-winning singer Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Chris Marin, Lizzo, and football legend David Beckham. Bollywood will be represented by SRK and Priyanka.
Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel will host
Further, actor Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina, who are currently recovering from the COVID-19 disease, will also be participating. The broadcast will be virtually hosted by star talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel. The proceeds from the show will go towards the support of healthcare workers and regional charities working to fight the ongoing pandemic.
The event will be aired on April 18
The event will go on air on April 18 on networks like ABC, NBC, CBS, iHeartMedia and Bell Media networks. The multi-hour special will simultaneously be live-streamed on YouTube, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other platforms.

Meanwhile, Priyanka and SRK are doing their bit to fight the COVID-19 pandemic on a personal level as well. Priyanka, along with her singer husband Nick Jonas, has pledged support to funds and organizations such as PM-CARES, UNICEF, Goonj, Doctors Without Borders, No Kid Hungry, and SAG-AFTRA. And, SRK has announced financial aid to the PM's fund, Maharashtra CM's fund, Roti Foundation, and others.
