Priyanka Chopra gets a big-fat cheque for Salman Khan's 'Bharat'
After making waves in the West with her music album 'In My City', her TV series 'Quantico' and her Hollywood release 'Baywatch', Priyanka Chopra is now returning to Bollywood with Salman Khan's 'Bharat'. And given that her market value has sky-rocketed in the last couple of years, it doesn't come as a surprise that she's being paid a whopping amount for her Bollywood comeback.
Rs. 6.5 crore is what PeeCee's taking home for 'Bharat'
There have been multiple reports regarding Priyanka's paycheque for 'Bharat'. Initially, a publication reported that she is charging Rs. 12 crore, but then another website stated that she is doing the film for free as it is being directed by her good friend Ali Abbas Zafar. However, a DNA report now has it PeeCee will be paid Rs. 6.5 crore for the highly-anticipated film.
Therefore, she becomes Bollywood's third-highest paid actress
Priyanka's 'Bharat' fee makes her the third-highest paid female actor in the Hindi film industry. Her 'Bajirao Mastani' co-star, Deepika Padukone tops the list with a hefty pay cheque of Rs. 12 crore for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat'. Kangana Ranaut comes a close second with a rumored fee of Rs. 11 crore for Aanand L Rai's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'.
Meanwhile, Priyanka will don five different looks in 'Bharat'
Priyanka is set to surprise her fans as she will be seen in five different looks in 'Bharat'. Also featuring Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover, it is a remake of the 2014 Korean film 'An Ode To My Father' and will release next year.
