Priyanka Chopra's action avatar in 'Citadel' makes its way online
Global icon Priyanka Chopra is currently busy shooting for famed director duo Russo Brothers' spy-thriller series Citadel in the UK. Pictures of the actress hanging from a harness with Game of Thrones star Richard Madden made their way online and fans couldn't stop gushing over the actress. She is seen wearing a black-and-white uniform with her hair styled like the iconic Princess Leia look.
Madden's look also impressed the fans
The picture has Madden sporting a green uniform while he holds Chopra, hanging alongside her on the harness. Another picture that made its way online showed Chopra and Madden in a modern multi-terrain vehicle with Chopra driving the vehicle. The new pictures are giving an idea that the film has some elements of sci-fi. The film's looks also gave an intense action vibe.
The series would be a global action-packed spy thriller
The shoot for the series started in January. The series has also been produced by Russo Brothers and Amazon Studios. It will release on Amazon Prime Video and will mark the digital series debut of Chopra. The series has been touted as a "global thriller multi-series." Chopra and Madden's version will be the central one with many other ones set in different languages.
Joe Russo called Chopra 'an incredible star'
In an interview, Joe Russo complimented Chopra saying, "She's an incredible star. I mean I think she has been amazing. We just had a table read of the show a couple of days ago and it was fantastic." "We are so proud of that show. We are excited for audiences to see it. She is amazing...she's going to be amazing in the show," he added.
Director duo Raj and DK also roped in for 'Citadel'
Chopra is not the only one bringing Indian flavor to the series. Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have been roped in to develop the Indian series of Citadel. They had confirmed the news on Instagram and shared a picture of themselves wearing the Infinity gauntlet from the Avengers series directed by the Russo Brothers. The show will have different creators helming different versions.
