    Priyanka Chopra Jonas has announced the release date of her upcoming Marathi production, Paani.

    The film, which is a collaboration between Chopra Jonas's Purple Pebble Pictures, Rajshri Entertainment, and Kothare Vision Pvt Ltd., is set to hit theaters on October 18.

    Paani had previously won the National Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation in 2019.

    Paani is the directorial debut of Addinath M Kothare, who also stars in the film.

    The cast includes Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Rajit Kapur, Kishor Kadam, Sachin Goswami, Mohanabai, Shripad Joshi, and Vikas Pandurang Patil.

    The film is written by Nitin Dixit and produced by Neha Barjatya and the late Rajjat Barjatya, along with Chopra Jonas and Dr. Madhu Chopra.

    'Paani' tells the story of a man battling drought

    Paani follows the journey of a common man living in a drought-stricken village.

    The film explores his struggles to make his village self-sufficient while dealing with local goons and other disruptions of daily life.

    The film aims to highlight the pressing issue of water scarcity and its impact on rural communities.

    The Citadel actor recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming Hollywood film The Bluff, where she stars alongside Karl Urban.

    She has multiple acting projects in various stages of development.
