Priyanka Chopra discusses balancing motherhood and career
Internationally acclaimed actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently opened up about her experiences of balancing motherhood with a successful career. In a candid conversation with Quint Neon, she shared the challenges and victories of being a working mother. Despite having robust support for her daughter, Malti Marie, Chopra Jonas admitted to experiencing "mom's guilt." She stressed that all mothers are working mothers, regardless of whether they have a quantifiable job or not.
Malti thinks her mother does this for living
The Dostana star also discussed how her upbringing has shaped her approach to parenting. She fondly recalled accompanying her mother Madhu Chopra to the hospital where she worked and playing at the nurse station. This early exposure, she believes, underscored the importance of integrating one's child into their daily life. "My daughter thinks I do make-believe for a living," Chopra Jonas humorously added, highlighting the unique perspective children can have on their parents' careers.
Malti is often under Madhu's care
During an Instagram live session on April 30, Chopra Jonas shared that while she was busy filming in France, her daughter Malti was under the care of her mother. She recounted how her mother used to leave her with her grandmother when she went to work, providing a sense of tranquility. "And I think she's returning the favor to me, which is lovely," added the Barfi! actor, expressing gratitude for the support.
Her upcoming projects and desire to return to Hindi cinema
Chopra Jonas offered a glimpse into her upcoming projects, revealing she will soon be seen in the Hollywood movie Heads of State, alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. Recently, she has appeared on the silver screen in Love Again and the web series Citadel, co-starring Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci.
