Priyamani's 'Officer on Duty' may arrive on Netflix in March
What's the story
Netflix has acquired the OTT rights of Kunchacko Boban and Priyamani's Malayalam film Officer on Duty, which was released on February 20.
The acquisition marks another successful addition to the streaming giant's list of popular Indian movies, especially from the south.
The platform kicked off 2025 with a bang, releasing Pushpa 2: The Rule on January 30, followed by Nandamuri Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaaj in February.

'Officer on Duty' to stream on Netflix soon
Officer on Duty, a cop thriller, has been getting mostly positive reviews from critics. The film also stars Jagadish and Vishak Nair in pivotal roles.
Although Netflix is yet to announce the streaming date for this Malayalam thriller, Officer on Duty could be on the platform by March 20, following the usual one-month gap between theater and OTT release, reported OTTPlay.
It's directed by Jithu Ashraf.
Second acquisition
Netflix also secured rights for the Tamil film 'Dragon'
Apart from Officer on Duty, Netflix has also bagged the streaming rights of the Tamil film Dragon. The movie features Pradeep Ranganathan and is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
The coming-of-age film, which revolves around the lead character's life-changing decision to quit studies post a breakup, has been received well by the audience.
The film also stars Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar.
